Job summary

Crawford & Company is hiring a Team Manager - Liability to supervise investigation, management, and disposition of liability claims within guidelines, assisting VP/AVP of Claims in managing the Service Center.

Role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years as a Claim Examiner, and strong leadership and communication skills. Supervisory experience is desirable and extensive knowledge of insurance practices is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Claim Examiner with the ability to handle complex cases.
  • Supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and communicates performance standards; conducts appraisals and HR actions as needed.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and assigns losses; ensures workloads align with staffing models and directives.
  • Reviews files daily to provide instruction; assists with reserve recommendations and settlement techniques; coaches staff.
  • Keeps VP/AVP informed of activities and issues; performs related work as required.
  • Works with Risk Tech Claim System; organizes workflows and may assist in training staff on the system.
