Job summary

Indiana University is seeking a Teaching & Learning Web Developer to join the Digital Learning Development team. You will build and enhance web applications, integrating with the IU eLearning ecosystem, working with instructional designers, technologists, and faculty to deliver accessible, high-quality online experiences.

The role emphasizes back-end API work, front-end interfaces, and collaboration across campuses with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years of full stack web development or related experience.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel; back-end and API development.

Responsibilities

• Develops high-performing websites and web applications, including back-end APIs and front-end interfaces.
• Collaborates with instructional designers, technologists, and IU faculty.
• Ensures accessibility, performance, scalability and security.
• Documents changes and tests website performance; fixes bugs.
• Acts as liaison between design teams and stakeholders to ensure product success.
