Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Lead School Counselor to support students with learning differences using an app‑based, mastery‑driven model. You will interpret evaluations, craft actionable support plans, and coordinate with Guides and families to monitor progress from coast to coast.

You will own the counseling process from intake to post-enrollment, translating complex data into practical accommodations, and ensuring high academic expectations are met.

Qualifications

• Active school counselor or school psychologist certification/licensure in a US state.
• At least five years of paid, professional K–12 experience as a school counselor, school psychologist, special education teacher, learning specialist, or interventionist.
• Experience contributing to IEPs or Section 504 plans in a paid professional role.
• Experience in environments with tracked student outcomes and targets.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs before enrollment using evaluations and profiles to inform support requirements.
• Design Alpha-specific accommodations and measurable goals for day one.
• Manage a coast-to-coast caseload with progress reviews and action ownership.
• Coach Guides and families on implementing accommodations and maintaining relationships.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows to automate tasks and free up time for student support.
