Job summary

KIEFER is seeking an ML Team Lead to direct the ML Engineering team focused on Sophea AI, our Greek-focused large language model, and related production-grade ML systems. You will shape the ML function, set ownership, and drive delivery across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, translate AI research into team practices, and enhance workflows with clear priorities and measurable outcomes aligned to business goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading ML Engineering teams or large ML workstreams.
• Deep technical background in LLMs, ASR, and production-grade ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ML Engineering team and set a clear technical direction for Sophea AI.
• Own delivery across ML workstreams: LLM training, fine-tuning, ASR, inference optimization, validation, and production ML systems.
• Improve workflows, clarify ownership, strengthen decision-making, and remove blockers.
