Job summary

CAKE Mortgage is seeking a Lead Encompass Administrator to own the Encompass environment and TPO Connect portal. The role blends day-to-day administration with strategic project work, including rules, workflows, and platform configuration improvements.

You will be the escalation point for Encompass issues and partner with engineering on a custom TPO platform, operating with significant autonomy as a functional and technical lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 6+ years administering Encompass in a mortgage lending environment.
• Deep hands-on experience with personas, permissions, custom fields, input forms, templates, rules and workflows.
• Experience administering TPO Connect or supporting a TPO channel.
• Experience end-to-end changes: requirements, design, testing, deployment, docs and support.
• Knowledge of mortgage operations from Processing through Closing.
• Non-QM or wholesale lending experience preferred.
• Encompass Administrator certification or ICE Mortgage Technology certification preferred.
• Strong systems thinking to trace rule changes through workflows and reports.
• Experience handling production incidents from triage to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day Encompass administration: users, permissions, rules, forms and templates.
• Design and build rules and workflow automation to cut manual work and speed processes.
• Administer TPO Connect and third‑party integrations with testing and vendor coordination.
• Enforce platform standards: naming, docs, change control, and testing before production.
• Own the enhancement roadmap with cross‑functional teams and deliver on requests.
• Partner with engineering on the custom TPO platform: data mapping and cutover.
• Serve as escalation point for production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Maintain audit-ready configurations and support compliance reviews.
• Train users on changes and document what you build.
• Set standards and mentor admins and power users as technical lead.
