Genworth is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive end-to-end data engineering initiatives across multiple build teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will mentor 3–4 data engineering teams, shape best practices, and lead DataBricks implementation to replace legacy platforms, delivering high-quality data products and analytical solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Databricks experience and data governance, dashboards, and source systems.
• Proven Tech Lead experience; able to lead developers and distribute work.
• Strong communication; ability to influence and align stakeholders.
• Engage with business leaders to propose data-driven solutions.
• Solid grounding in analytics, data warehousing, and modern data engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3–4 data engineering build teams; provide technical direction and governance.
• Possibly lead POCs and build reusable data assets and frameworks.
• Hands-on design, build, test, and support of analytical pipelines.
• Establish and enforce design, engineering, and coding standards; perform code reviews.
• Lead CI/CD and design reusable data tests for releases.
• Expand expertise into AI/ML and other DataBricks capabilities as needed.
