Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Cloud Architect – NoSQL Databases to provide leadership and engineering oversight for enterprise NoSQL platforms across Humana’s cloud environments.

The role covers design, modernization, and governance of NoSQL solutions including MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Neo4j, and vector databases. The candidate will drive standards, migration planning, and security/compliance across Azure and GCP while collaborating with security, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable,

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on with NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Neo4j).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP) and Python development.
• Proficient in DevOps practices, CI/CD, version control, and automation.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Leadership or collaboration across security, engineering, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise NoSQL standards, architectures, and best practices.
• Lead architecture for NoSQL platforms like MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Neo4j, vector databases.
• Plan and execute platform modernization and migrations, including Cosmos DB to MongoDB moves.
• Architect secure, highly available, scalable NoSQL solutions across Azure and GCP.
• Define patterns for document, graph, key-value, and vector search workloads.
• Guide teams on NoSQL data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and performance.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and backups with DevOps.
• Create automation tooling and integration using Python.
• Ensure deployments meet security, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Support cloud onboarding, deployment, and troubleshooting for apps.
