Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Jupyter Notebook Specialist (SME) for an hourly remote contractor role. You will design realistic notebook tasks using Jupyter Notebook/JupyterLab, document them in SuperAnnotate, and record task execution.

You will prepare environments, run notebooks, clean data, create visualizations, and provide clear task context and outputs to help train leading AI models. English proficiency at B2+ is required, and candidates worldwide are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using Jupyter Notebook or JupyterLab for Python, data analysis, visualization, teaching, research, automation, or documentation workflows.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher to understand project instructions and document tasks clearly.
• Comfortable managing files, running notebooks, and recording workflows.
• Ability to design realistic, challenging Jupyter Notebook tasks reflecting real data analysis use cases.
• Strong understanding of notebook basics: code cells, markdown cells, execution order, imports, pandas, charts, exports.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic Jupyter Notebook tasks and document them clearly in SuperAnnotate.
• Prepare the work environment with Jupyter available, datasets, and required packages.
• Record task execution while following project instructions and ensuring clarity.
• Demonstrate practical software use including Python cells, data cleaning, charts, and exports.
• Maintain submission quality: ensure task is complete, reproducible, and aligned with guidelines.
