Job summary

Powerhouse Controls is looking for a Junior Drive Systems Engineer to join our Nashville office. You will work with senior engineers to develop, test, and support drive and automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and motor control solutions across customer projects.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers early in their career who want hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to AC/DC drives, industrial networks, and system start-up activities on-site at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical or automation engineering.
• Recent graduate or up to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interest in industrial automation and drive systems.
• Valid driver's license and passport or ability to obtain one.
• Ability and willingness to travel for commissioning and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of PLC, HMI, and drive control software.
• Participate in system design, testing, and validation activities.
• Support factory acceptance testing and system commissioning.
• Assist with startup activities at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot industrial control systems, drives, and automation equipment.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, technicians, customers, and vendors.
• Provide technical support during project execution and service activities.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
