Job summary

Apex Systems is hiring a Jr. Biostatistician for a large healthcare client.

This entry-level contract role supports statistical analysis and data management activities, involving data processing and analysis, study design assistance, and dissemination of research findings. You will work with investigators and project teams, applying your knowledge to solve business problems and support data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health, or Data Science.
• At least one year of programming experience using R or Python.
• Understanding of epidemiology study requirements and familiarity with healthcare data.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze data using R or Python.
• Coordinate data analysis activities, including writing analysis plans and statistical programs.
• Summarize and interpret the results of statistical analysis for investigators and project teams.
• Assist with data analysis interpretation by organizing and editing reports and presentations.
• Support data preparation for analytic efforts by cleaning and organizing data to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and automation of business and reporting solutions.
• Contribute to the dissemination of research by preparing written summaries of statistical analysis results.
• Provide consultation to programmers and investigators regarding the choice of statistical methods and interpretation of results.
