Job summary

Simera Talent is seeking a Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. You will assist with transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and general accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work remotely while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, AP/AR, or a similar role.
• Degree or relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with financial transactions, reconciliations, invoices, and accounting records.
• Experience using spreadsheets and accounting/financial management software.
• Basic understanding of general ledger and month-end closing processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and meet accounting deadlines.
• Strong computer and digital skills.
• Ability to work remotely and independently with a proactive mindset.
• English proficiency is required for English-speaking clients, vendors, or teams.

Responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and account summaries as required.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Support audits by gathering financial documentation.
