Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation in the United States seeks a Solution Architect – Java to own end-to-end architecture and design scalable, API-first microservices on Azure using Java and Spring Boot. You will lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

This remote role allows candidates nationwide (open to Charlotte, NC). You’ll shape target-state architecture, drive governance, and deliver resilient systems with Kafka, AKS, and cloud-first patterns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and delivering microservices-based architectures with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong Azure cloud architecture experience with containerized platforms
• Experience with RESTful services governance, versioning, and lifecycle management
• DDD applied to solution architecture and business capability modelling
• Senior architect/Tech Lead experience in Agile delivery and complex distributed systems
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear architecture decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of end-to-end Java/Spring Boot microservices on Azure
• Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions including AKS
• Define and govern enterprise data integration patterns with REST and Kafka
• Own target-state architecture and roadmaps across legacy and modern environments
• Act as technical authority and advisor to engineering teams and stakeholders
