Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking an IT SOC Engineer I to work remotely in support of the DFC CISO within the Office of Information Technology. The role provides governance, risk management, compliance support, and cybersecurity monitoring aligned to NIST RMF and CSF.

You will perform forensic analysis, vulnerability assessments, and contribute to SOC tooling and architecture. Required active clearance, 3+ years in cybersecurity, and Security+ CE. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 3+ years in Cybersecurity with IT security policies and governance.
• 8570.01/8140.03 cybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Experience mitigating security control vulnerabilities per NIST SP 800-53/CM/STIG.
• Experience implementing security measures to protect confidentiality, integrity, availability.
• Experience addressing vulnerabilities identified during certification testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic analysis on digital media to identify malicious content.
• Provide vulnerability assessments and security testing capabilities.
• Support SOC architecture and tooling for DFC SOC initiatives.
• Update security documentation including System Security Plan and POA&Ms.
• Report security status to organizational officials.
