Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an IT Security Compliance Analyst to support our mature GRC program. You will drive security controls, policies, and audits across a regulated healthcare environment, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to mitigate risk.

The role requires five years in cybersecurity or IT compliance, strong governance knowledge, and experience in regulated industries. Remote work is supported with preference for Greater Boston area candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, cybersecurity, IT, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity, information security, IT compliance, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of GRC, risk management, compliance, and audit practices.
• Experience interpreting technical environments, operating systems, and network architectures.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of practical, scalable security controls to mitigate risk.
• Assist maintenance and improvement of security policies, standards, and control frameworks.
• Perform security audits, assessments, and reviews to evaluate control effectiveness.
• Support information security awareness and training initiatives across the organization.
• Develop and track remediation plans for identified security risks and compliance gaps.
• Help implement and maintain technical and administrative security controls.
• Participate in annual risk assessments and business impact analyses.
• Gather and produce audit evidence for internal and external reviews.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure security requirements are implemented.
• Contribute to development, review, and maintenance of IT security policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and industry regulations.
• Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
