Job summary

Commence is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for federal systems. You will partner with the CIO, Cybersecurity Engineers, Compliance Analysts, and project teams to ensure programs meet NIST RMF and agency requirements.

You will manage SSPs, risk assessments, POA&M, and incident response planning, coordinate CMS ARS/IS2P2, VA/DoD assessments, and maintain compliance across frameworks including

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information assurance or cybersecurity experience.
• 3+ years as an ISSO or A&A lead for federal information systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated ISSO for assigned federal systems and liaison to agency ISSOs.
• Lead RMF/IS0 lifecycle activities: assessment, authorization, continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, risk assessments, and POA&Ms.
• Coordinate CMS ARS/IS2P2, VA/DoD assessments, and IRS Safeguards reviews.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST, and ISO/IEC 27001 frameworks.
