Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an Investor Reporting Analyst to generate monthly accounting reports for assigned investors and ensure timely compliance with servicing agreements. The role involves coordinating with mortgage servicing departments, remittance reporting, and funds settlement to meet investor guidelines.

The position offers a remote work option from home, with a target pay range of $31.00-$36.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• One to two years of related experience, including investor accounting and reporting.
• GNMA experience and Mortgage-Backed Securities experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts principal and interest advances for securitization on a monthly basis per pooling and servicing agreement.
• Creates and distributes monthly loan-level remittance reports to trustee (e.g., Loan Modification Report, REO Liquidation Gains and Losses, Stop Advancing Report).
• Remits funds to investors by preparing wire transfers.
• Reviews pool-to-security reconciliation to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Analyzes remittance differences between investor accounting reports and remittance reports to maintain cash in custodial accounts.
• Validates data from other departments and resolves discrepancies (e.g., modification reports, liquidation reports).

The Investor Reporting Analyst is responsible for generating various monthly accounting reports for assigned investors, analyzing results and ensuring accurate and timely completion of required reports and compliance with investor guidelines. Assist in coordinating actions with other mortgage servicing departments, as needed, to achieve all requirements outlined in the servicing agreements for the investors. This job level handles more routine accounts with established investor contracts. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $31.00-$36.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

• Forecasts principal and interest advance for the securitization on monthly basis, using specified pooling and servicing agreement; ensures that reports are prepared within the timeframes and other terms established in the servicing agreement.

• Creates and distributes monthly loan-level remittance reports to appropriate trustee, including the Loan Modification Report, REO Liquidation Gains and Losses, and Stop Advancing Report.

• Remits funds to investors to meet servicing agreements by preparing wire transfers.

• Reviews the pool to security reconciliation for discrepancies of loans to make the necessary corrections.

• Analyzes remittance differences between investor accounting reports and remittance reports to maintain cash in custodial account.

• Validates data coming from other departments and works with those departments to resolve any discrepancies, e.g., modification reports and liquidation reports.

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

• Schedule/schedule experience preferred.

• GNMA experience as well as Mortgage-Backed Securities experience preferred.

• One (1) to two (2) years of related experience, including investor accounting and reporting, required.
