Job summary

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries seeks an Investigations Operations Manager to support the Investigations Program Manager with HR, budget, and operational needs. You will develop and improve program work processes and help train field supervisors across six units.

You will strengthen interagency collaboration with Revenue, Employment Security, and AG's Office, lead communications, and oversee staff development and program budgets while aligning with L&I Core Competencies.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in law enforcement in a lead or supervisory role or equivalent.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Criminal Justice Training Academy or equivalent, or 5+ years in related fields.
• Extensive knowledge of personnel administration, legislative relations, and state government budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Program Manager on HR strategies aligned with L&I goals.
• Oversee internal budget/fiscal policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Admin Services to meet program space needs.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to program processes.
• Lead communications and external messaging for Investigations.
• Provide staff development and training oversight for program staff.
• Represent the Program Manager as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.
