Job summary

The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), a Washington, DC-based nonprofit, offers internship opportunities designed to develop professional skills. Interns participate in a twice-monthly speaker series and collaborate with FDD scholars to strengthen research and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Coursework in International Relations, Security Studies, History, Communications, Journalism, International Economics, Political Science, CS, or related STEM field.
  • Interns should have knowledge of MS Office programs, including Word, and basic Excel.
  • Must be able to commit to at least 22 hours per week.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist researchers in the IO Program with research on international organizations, funding, management and operations.
  • Draft memoranda, summaries and policy memos for internal review.
  • Support writing, editing and presentation development for policy-focused materials.
