Datavant invites experienced professionals to join as Inpatient Auditing Specialist. This fully remote role supports coding quality initiatives, payer reviews, and education through audits, with a focus on accurate MS-DRG/APR DRG coding and strong documentation rationale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS (required), RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient facility coding audits per scope of work for onboarding, focused reviews, SLAs or other reviews.
• Provides concise rationale referencing documentation location.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to optimize workflow and turnaround time.
• Delivers coder education through auditing process.
• Exhibits professionalism and strong customer service.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics.
• Demonstrates high complexity in decision making and leadership.
