Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The position requires CCS certification or RHIT/RHIA credentials and at least three years of inpatient coding experience, preferably in an academic medical center or trauma facility.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience with Academic Medical Center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplant, NICU, and other complex cases.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per regulatory and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet productivity and quality expectations.
