Job summary

NBCUniversal is looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer to support and evolve security platforms across the enterprise. You will help design, implement, and optimize security tooling for endpoints, WAF, DNS, and Layer 7 firewalls, while driving automation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in network security, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and practice.
• Experience with data collection tools to analyze problems and root causes.
• Familiarity with Cloudflare or Akamai WAF.

Responsibilities

• Provide secure design and engineering guidance for security tools and services.
• Improve tooling to manage security rule sets reflecting risk reduction goals.
• Participate in On-call rotation and mentor junior staff on best practices.
• Develop automation strategies to streamline policy administration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protections.
• Leverage data and analytics to report on security posture.
