Job summary

CareOregon, Inc. is seeking an Information Security Engineer III to design and mature the organization’s security model. You will partner with business leaders, architect policies, and implement IS solutions to support business strategies across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes security design, operations, and governance with collaboration across teams. A strong certification portfolio and five+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years delivering information security solutions and services.
• Experience with WAN firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and DMZs.
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts and risk/audit/compliance objectives.
• Technical ability to design, configure, and support security systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of security technologies (firewalls, proxies, logging).
• Oversee security system operations, ticket handling, and vendor services.
• Develop and maintain security policy standards and documentation.
• Partner with leaders to balance business needs with security risk.
• Build reports on security performance and anomalies; drive improvements.
