Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Cost Estimator, Journeyman for the Kettering, OH area with remote-hire capability. The role supports the AFLCMC/GB BES Directorate and emphasizes cost estimation, ACEIT tools, and POE development for DoD programs.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field, plus several years in cost estimation, with DoD experience and an active security clearance preferred. Remote work options are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 3+ years DoW-related experience, or 7+ years with proper certifications.
• Experience using ACEIT for program cost estimates.
• Ability to build and communicate POEs.
• Must hold or be able to obtain T1/NACI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze management problems and advise on cost implications.
• Apply routine cost estimating methods (analogy, engineering, extrapolation).
• Evaluate costs across design, development, and disposal of weapon systems.
• Determine the appropriate budget phase for new programs.
• Analyze contractor data using EVM measures for program viability.
• Use ACEIT Suite for program office estimates and cost estimation tasks.
