Edmentum is a remote-first educator-focused company delivering tech-enabled learning solutions. We seek an Information Security Engineer to monitor, protect, and evolve our security posture across production systems and platforms.

You will drive vulnerability remediation, support FERPA/GDPR/NIST/SOC 2 compliance, and explore AI-driven security tools. You will partner with development, systems, and network teams, improving change management and security metrics while staying current on evolving

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years securing enterprise IT infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a technology field.
Solid grasp of core security principles across enterprise infrastructure and platforms.
Hands-on with vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation.
Familiar with NIST CSF/800, ISO 27001, SOC 2, FERPA, COPPA, GDPR; experience applying them.

Responsibilities

Monitor production systems for security events and participate in incident response.
Run vulnerability assessments and drive remediation using risk frameworks.
Support compliance with FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, NIST, and SOC 2; maintain audit readiness.
Evaluate and administer security tools; explore AI-related security tech.
Collaborate with development, systems, and network teams to embed security into ops.
Improve change and configuration management and derive root causes after incidents.
