Job summary

First Quality Tissue Enterprises, LLC is seeking an Information Security Engineer to provide leadership and deep expertise in securing IT solutions, working remotely in the Eastern Time Zone. You will drive vulnerability management, define security requirements, and support incident response while partnering with teams across the organization.

The role requires 2+ years in security operations, cloud and network security know-how, and Palo Alto Firewall experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security solutions on network/security operations.
• Knowledge of IT security controls including firewalls, SIEM, NAC, CASB, DLP, IPS/IDS and encryption.
• Cloud security experience is preferred.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls Suite is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of VPN/TLS/TCP/IP and related network security concepts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Be or become the lead SME for security tools (CASB, vulnerability suite, EPP) to maintain functionality.
• Lead vulnerability management with patching teams to reduce attack surface.
• Provide security engineering expertise for projects and security baselines.
• Investigate, recommend, and implement security solutions for detection, prevention and containment.
• Define security product requirements, research, testing, and implementation (identity management, access control, IPS).
• Ensure incident response procedures are current, including periodic CIRT activations.
• Track security events with process tools and produce actionable reports.
• Develop and maintain security processes and as-built documentation.
• Support security reporting to admins, leadership, and end-users; advise on event correlation approaches.
