Job summary

Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) seeks a consultant to strengthen immunization data management and analysis within CIM. You will develop data quality methodologies for VPD surveillance, support interpretation of country data, and contribute to dashboards and tools for EPI performance monitoring.

Working remotely with Washington DC hours, the consultant will collaborate with PAHO/WHO teams and national partners to deliver regional analyses and analytics in immunization information systems.

Qualifications

• University degree in health and a postgraduate degree in Public Health.
• At least 7 years experience in health, disease surveillance, management and use of health information systems.
• Experience with VPD surveillance information systems or Electronic Immunization Registries and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate and implement analytic methodology to evaluate VPD surveillance information systems and Data Quality in the Region, focusing on measles surveillance.
• Contribute to strengthening the Monitoring Performance tool methodology and result analysis, including a new digital version.
• Support countries in the implementation of the EPI Performance Monitoring tool.
• Contribute to the strengthening of the PAHOabc package with new analyses and documentation.
• Prepare regional analyses and summaries using eJRF and other information sources.
• Contribute to other regional team activities to optimize immunization data analysis processes.
• Propose and generate communications of results via regional immunization bulletin or newsletters and webinars.
