Job summary

Intertek is seeking a remote Automotive (IATF) Auditor to join our Business Assurance team. The role involves leading and participating in IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 audits, with extensive travel to client sites in the United States.

A strong background in automotive quality systems and the ability to work remotely from within the US are required. The Lead Auditor will interface with clients, train junior auditors, and deliver clear audit reports, aligning with Intertek's commitment to quality and

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 auditing
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to travel 3–5 nights per week and work remotely in the US

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate as an assessor during all phases of a client's Management System audit (IATF 16949 and ISO 9001)
• Serve as primary client interface before and during audit activities
• Train junior auditors through witness audits and coaching
• Prepare and present audit findings and reports to clients and certification boards
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
• Travel to client sites, including multi-day assignments, as required
