Job summary

Client Confidential seeks an IAM AD Engineer for remote contract work in the US. The role focuses on Active Directory creation and testing in AWS, both managed and client-managed, with strong LDAP, Kerberos, OU design, and backup capabilities. You will document deployment standards and integrate with automation workflows and SIEM.

Experience with AWS cloud management concepts, DNS, and VLANs, plus solid troubleshooting and documentation skills, is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong Active Directory expertise across on-prem and cloud (AWS) environments.
• Experience with LDAP connectivity, Kerberos/NTLM authentication, and OU design.
• Proficiency in Group Policy management and AD backup/restore procedures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Native and AWS Managed Microsoft AD, and AD in AWS cloud environments.
• Solid DNS and VLAN troubleshooting and IT operational skills.
• Ability to document architectures, workflows, and integration with security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Create and test AD in AWS (Managed and Client Managed).
• Document deployment and management standards for AD in AWS including entitlement delegation.
• Integrate with automation workflows and SIEM for event collection.
• Design AD backup/restore procedures and manage development AD in AWS.
• Troubleshoot client issues in AWS AD and coordinate with security tooling.
