Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Forensic Science. The department seeks candidates who will teach undergrad and graduate courses and build a funded research program with student involvement.

The ideal candidate will explore DNA-enabled forensic research, expand instrumentation training, and collaborate across the natural and applied sciences. A strong commitment to Jesuit education and diversity is valued.

Competenze

• Master’s of Science in forensic science or related field.
• Experience in research on trace evidence, preferably with DNA methodologies.
• PhD in forensic science or related discipline (preferred).

Mansioni

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science.
• Establish a research program with undergraduate and graduate student involvement and potential for extramural funding.
• Contribute to the Greyhound Center for Cold Case Investigations and the Molecular Animal Diagnostics Laboratory.
• Collaborate with other faculty to expand lab instrumentation training and research.
• Embed emerging forensic technologies in curricula (FTiR, digital PCR, image analysis, laser scanning).
