Job summary

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, a national law firm, seeks experienced litigation attorneys (1–3 years) for its Chicago office in the commercial law practice group. Hybrid or fully remote opportunities are available, with licensure in IL or other listed states encouraged.

Responsibilities include drafting, client and court communications, motions, and preparing matters for hearings, trials, or arbitrations under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in litigation involving breach of commercial loans and security agreements, secured transactions and equipment leasing; negotiable instruments, replevin actions, judgment enforcement, and foreclosures.
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, opinion letters and other documents; communicating with clients, courts and other counsel; drafting and arguing motions.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills and command of the English language.
• Maintain current knowledge of Local Rules, Rules of Civil Procedure, FRCP and other applicable codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare matters for hearing, trial, arbitration or mediation under supervision.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing and co-counsel, vendors, attorneys, and staff.
• Assist in appearances at hearings, depositions and trials.
