Cable One is seeking an HSD Systems Engineer I to deploy, upgrade, and maintain high-speed data infrastructure. You will work on core platforms like DNS, DHCP, and DOCSIS provisioning, with emphasis on Linux administration, scripting, and security best practices.

The role involves on-call duties, project work, and collaboration across teams to ensure reliability and performance at scale. Remote work options available for the right candidate across multiple states.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required; minimum two years related progressive experience in a network engineering role.
• MSO/cable industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain core network systems (Incognito, Infoblox, Calix) and related technologies.
• Perform software implementation for Engineering projects and maintain lifecycle for HSD applications.
• Create LL Design docs, templates, diagrams, knowledge base, BOMs and support docs.
• Train teams on new technologies, upgrades, and product designs.
• Estimate time and cost for project requests; work in project teams to define requirements and risks.
• Handle on-call duties and escalate customer equipment issues as needed.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux systems, DNS, DHCP, DOCSIS provisioning, authentication, and policies.
• Use Python/Ansible and other scripting tools for automation and problem-solving.
