Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Hospital Contracting Strategist/Senior Provider Contracting Professional responsible for initiating, negotiating, and executing physician, hospital, and other provider contracts for a health insurance organization.

You will report to the Director, Provider Contracting. The role requires extensive hospital contracting and value-based contracting expertise, with outcomes that support network adequacy and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years hospital negotiation experience in Medicare.
• Leading hospital/health system negotiations incl. reimbursement and renewals.
• 5+ years progressive network management incl. hospital contracting.
• Experience negotiating managed care contracts with hospital systems.
• Analyze and communicate financial impact of contract terms.
• Understand and interpret hospital contract language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements.
• Manage provider relationships and contract administration.
• Evaluate reimbursement methodologies and financial impact of terms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Operations to ensure contracts are sound.
• Communicate terms and payment structures to providers.
