Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a High School Special Education Teacher for the Digital Academy of Texas (DATX). The role focuses on self-contained and ALT students, managing IEPs, progress monitoring, and compliance documentation to support student success.

Responsibilities include collaborating with families and general education teachers, providing engaging online and in-person instruction, and ensuring appropriate accommodations and assistive technology are in place for individualized learning.

Qualifications

• Texas Special Education certification preferred
• ESL certification preferred
• Residency in Texas
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for in-person testing and travel as required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents and colleagues to manage goals, curriculum, and materials.
• Create compliant IEPs, progress reports, and state-required documentation.
• Participate in annual IEP meetings and professional development.
• Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and document in logs.
• Maintain communications with families and learning coaches/parents.
• Support in-person student testing and accommodations as needed
