Stride K12 is hiring a remote High School Science Teacher for the Digital Academy of Texas (DATX). The role requires a state-certified educator to deliver online science content, monitor progress, and support students and families from home, with occasional travel for testing and PD.

Salary starts at $49,000 with eligibility for a performance bonus. This is a full-time remote position based in the United States, operating within Stride K12’s online learning ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active state teaching license required.
• Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, and use it to drive instructional decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Maintain teacher certification hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum.
• Experience with online learning platforms.
• Experience teaching in online or brick-and-mortar environments.

Responsibilities

• Augments course content using prescribed policies and tools under guidance from principal and coach.
• Maintains grade book and tracks student progress, flags concerns to administrators.
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.
• Travels as required (~20% of the time) for professional development and student testing.
