Stride, Inc. through its Stride K12 partner, Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS), seeks a remote Substitute French Teacher who is a certified educator to deliver high school content in an online environment.

Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance while using Stride K12's learning management system. This full-time remote contractor role expects about 40 hours weekly, occasional travel for state testing or school functions, and regular communication with families and learning

Qualifications

• Ability to clear required background check.
• Collaborate with teachers to interpret and use student data to drive instruction.
• Receptive to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Experience with online learning platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Commitment to personalizing learning for all students.
• Demonstrates belief in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
• Differentiates instruction based on student mastery.
• Augments content using prescribed policies with online tools; both asynchronous and synchronous.
• Maintains grade book and alerts admins to concerns about performance.
• Prepares students for high-stakes standardized tests.
• Establishes positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with learning coaches/parents.
• Supports learning coaches with curricular issues and basic tech troubleshooting.
• Travels as required for professional development and student testing (up to ~20%).
