Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking a High School Biology tutor to connect with students nationwide through our Live Learning Platform. You'll have a flexible schedule, earn up to $40/hour, and work from home while making a meaningful impact on student success.

As a tutor, you’ll explain complex biology concepts, adapt to various learning styles, and use our AI-powered Copilot to enhance sessions. You invoice for sessions and we handle payments.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of cell structure & function, genetics & heredity, evolution & natural selection, ecology, human body systems.
• Ability to explain mitosis/meiosis, Punnett squares, DNA structure, photosynthesis, cellular respiration.
• Familiar with AP Biology, Regents exams, and college biology prerequisites.
• Able to explain concepts using multiple methods and adapt to student needs.

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions with high school biology students.
• Explain concepts, answer questions, and guide problem solving.
