Job summary

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is a global biopharma company driving life-changing medicines in oncology and neuroscience. The Medical Science Liaison role covers the Northeast US, interacting with key opinion leaders in hematology/oncology and providing scientific exchange to healthcare professionals.

The MSL will develop territory plans, communicate insights to cross-functional teams, and support medical congress activities while staying current with therapeutic advances and Jazz products.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with at least 3 years' experience in hematologic malignancies.
• Licensed clinician (RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent) with a Master’s degree and at least 5 years in hematologic malignancies.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an MSL or similar industry/clinical role.
• Willing to travel ~60% and reside near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers within the hematology/oncology therapeutic area.
• Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs plans.
• Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues and insights from KOLs to appropriate departments.
• Participate in medical education for healthcare professionals through on-site presentations at healthcare institutions, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, or regional meetings.
• Provide support for medical congress staffing and advisory boards.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of therapy area, Jazz products, and competitive landscape.
• Establishes reputation as a reliable source of scientific information for healthcare community.
• Attends scientific congresses to stay abreast of developments and to support KOL activities.
• Provide clinical presentations and information in response to questions in academic and clinical settings.
• Communicates emerging data and clinical experience through scientific exchange and peer-to-peer interactions.
• Supports activities such as medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training initiatives.
• Contributes to US Medical Plan development and local tactics.
• Manages relevant budget to enable Medical Plan execution.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to support Key Account Management.
• Interacts with HCPs as a scientific resource for advisory boards and trials.
