Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Data Engineer for a fully remote role focused on healthcare analytics. You will design and implement data models and pipelines in Azure Databricks, powering executive dashboards and provider-facing views.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a Data Engineer or similar with large, complex datasets.
• 3+ years hands-on Azure Databricks with production PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Expertise with Delta Lake medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold).
• Advanced SQL and dimensional data modeling for BI consumption.
• Experience orchestrating data workflows with Databricks Workflows / ADF.
• Healthcare payer data experience (claims, encounters, MLR, cost-of-care).
• Strong communication skills to explain modeling decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models and pipelines in Azure Databricks for healthcare analytics.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes with data quality, lineage, and performance focus.
• Build and optimize Delta Lake bronze/silver/gold architectures for BI use.
• Collaborate with BI developers and analytics leaders to deliver dashboards and provider views.
• Integrate payer data (claims, encounters, cost data) and risk adjustment data for reporting.
