Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Health Plan Account Manager to manage key client accounts and support membership growth through proactive relationship development. You will partner with internal teams to resolve client issues and ensure service excellence across self-funded and fully insured plans.

Travel to meet clients and brokers across the Geisinger footprint is required. Licensure in Health Insurance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have health insurance/managed care experience.
• Minimum 3 years in sales is required.
• Licensure in Health Insurance is required.
• Education: high school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizing, and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Health Plan as contact for designated groups.
• Coordinates group renewals, including rate submissions and enrollments.
• Delivers effective service to clients and brokers.
• Increases membership and develops liaison with key accounts.
• Organizes enrollment communications and activities.
• Maintains relationships with Geisinger Health Plan entities.
• Attends meetings as needed.
• Keeps informed on managed care trends and legislation.
• Implements policies for operational support of employer groups.
• Develops strategies to position the Health Plan for profitability.
• Maintains database updates per current requirements.
