Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an entry-level Grievance/Appeals Analyst I to review and process non-complex grievances and appeals for multiple product types and customer categories. This remote role supports flexible, compliant handling of clinical and non-clinical issues under URAC and NCQA guidelines.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 3 years in grievances, appeals, or customer service, with strong business writing and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in grievances/appeals or related customer service.
• URAC accreditation processes and NCQA standards familiarity preferred.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and process non-complex grievances and appeals in line with regulatory requirements.
• Research and analyze grievance and appeal issues using available guidelines and records.
• Render determinations and prepare clear written communications of outcomes.
• Coordinate with nursing/medical staff as needed for review or escalation.
• Ensure compliance with department guidelines and accreditation standards.
• Act as liaison between grievances & appeals and other internal departments.
