Job summary

JBS International is seeking an Early Childhood Specialist I to support Head Start and related grant programs remotely within the United States. The role focuses on grants management, compliance with federal policies, and delivering professional customer service to streamline grant operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field and at least 2 years' experience in Head Start programs, with strong data management, writing, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, human services, public administration, or related field.
• 2 years of progressive professional experience in early childhood programs, preferably Head Start/Early Head Start.

Responsibilities

• Review grant applications, budget modifications, and post-award requirements for accuracy and policy alignment.
• Ensure grant-related data is documented in systems like HSES and GrantSolutions.
• Execute grant awards and related administrative actions with federal staff.
• Identify compliance concerns and support risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Head Start standards and grant requirements.
• Support recipients in developing and implementing improvement strategies.
• Monitor progress in performance, compliance, and accountability.
• Apply CQI to oversight mechanisms to promote positive outcomes for children and families.
• Aggregate, analyze, and present data from multiple sources.
• Produce high-quality written products such as memoranda and presentations.
