Job summary

Parity Homes is seeking a passionate Remote Grant Writer to research funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and secure resources for equitable housing initiatives in Baltimore and beyond.

You will collaborate with leadership and program staff to draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, ensure funder guidelines are met, track deadlines, and prepare financial statements and impact updates for reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a grant writer with a successful track record.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with grant databases, submission portals, and digital research tools.
• Understanding of the nonprofit sector and funding ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Research grant opportunities aligned with Parity Homes' mission and programs.
• Draft, edit, and prepare grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents.
• Ensure all submissions meet funder guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
• Manage the full grant submission process to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Maintain organized records of grant activities, submissions, and communications.
• Follow up with funders to track proposal progress and requests.
• Assist with administration of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with terms and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and program teams to prepare financial statements and impact updates.

In this role, you will research funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and secure resources that support our work transforming long-abandoned Baltimore rowhomes into pathways to wealth, stability, and community resilience.

• Conduct research to identify grant opportunities aligned with Parity Homes' mission and programs.
• Stay informed on trends, best practices, and strategies in the grant-funding landscape.

Proposal Development

• Collaborate with organizational leaders and program staff to understand funding needs and strategic priorities.
• Draft, edit, and prepare grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents.
• Ensure all submissions meet funder guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.

Submission & Follow-up

• Manage the full grant submission process to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Maintain organized records of grant activities, submissions, and communications.
• Follow up with funders to track proposal progress and requests.
