Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking a Proposal Specialist to lead the development and submission of government and public sector proposals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to respond to RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and SSNs, ensuring timely, compliant, and compelling proposals.

The role requires strong writing, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with teams. A Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of related experience are required, with APMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Political Science, Creative Writing, or related field is required.
• APMP certification or experience is preferred.
• 1-3+ years experience writing Government and Public Sector proposals and training with Shipley is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work across organizations with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Proven attention to detail and excellent writing, grammar, and spelling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact on assigned proposals and lead the Bids and Proposals team.
• Analyze RFQs, RFPs, RFIs and SSNs to burst the solicitation, create compliance matrices, outlines, templates and development plans.
• Direct proposal kickoff, status and debrief meetings, and prepare detailed agendas, data calls, schedules, and compliance matrices.
• Plan winning themes, value propositions, strengths, risk reducers and differentiated solutions for the proposal outline.
• Collaborate with practice leadership to finalize win strategies and ensure messaging is consistent throughout the proposal.
• Solicit management reviews and approvals during proposal development.
• Monitor content to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Lead and/or support development and submission of winning bid responses with client service teams and teaming partners.
• Work with Content Management Specialist to improve reusable graphics, templates and processes.
• Write persuasively, including executive summaries, past performance volumes, and key personnel resumes.
• Provide writing guidance to authors, volume leads and capture coordinators.
• Improve process, organization, readability, completeness and clarity of engineering quality proposals.
