Job summary

Fragomen’s Business Immigration Consultant role in Houston focuses on substantive, client-facing work within a dynamic immigration practice. You will handle case preparation, filing petitions, and managing case strategy while leveraging efficient case-management and billing systems.

You will collaborate with clients, meet SLAs, and contribute to team training and process improvements. Ideal candidates bring at least four years of business immigration experience, strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification, or equivalent client-service experience.
• At least 4 years of business immigration experience.
• Strong knowledge of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform case preparation and filing of petitions with government agencies, including document gathering and review.
• Oversee case status using case management and billing systems; run reports as needed.
• Interact with clients for intake, troubleshooting, and case strategy; suggest solutions and process improvements.
• Generate clear, well-organized written work product applying immigration knowledge.
• Meet SLAs and communicate case progress, escalations to supervisor; assist in hiring/training new team members.
