Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Director of Global Clinical Development to lead design and oversight of clinical programs for OPDC products.

This role can be remote or based in Princeton, NJ or Rockville, MD, with responsibilities spanning strategy, trial design, and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate will be an MD/DO with 3–6 years in pharma or translational research, strong leadership, and deep experience across Rheumatology/Immunology.

Qualifications

• A clinician with rheumatology/nephrology/immunology/dermatology background and leadership experience.
• 3–6 years of pharmaceutical industry or translational clinical research experience.
• Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine and science management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including meetings and presentations.
• Experience leading and motivating internal staff or external investigators.
• Advanced understanding of drug development and clinical trial processes.
• Willingness to travel 30% and to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Designs and oversees clinical research programs and protocols.
• Serves as internal medical/scientific consultant to teams and regulators.
• Authors program strategies and oversees trials for safety and efficacy.
• Interprets and communicates Phase I–IV results for submissions.
• Signatory on NDA submissions and clinical study documents.
• Provides strategic direction for regulatory filings and governance.
