EXL Analytics is hiring a Cloud Data Engineer focused on building scalable data pipelines in the cloud, ensuring performance and availability of our data infrastructure. The role collaborates with architects and engineers to enable enterprise applications that meet business goals.

You will partner with Data Scientists, Product Managers and business leaders to understand data needs and deliver robust data solutions, while driving improvements in data delivery and analytics capabilities for

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data pipelines in a cloud platform.
• GCP knowledge preferred; AWS/Azure ok.
• 5+ years building and operationalizing data processing systems.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• 2+ years NoSQL and related languages (Python/R/Scala/Java/Hive/Spark/Kafka).
• 2+ years working with data platforms (data warehouse, data lake, ODS).
• 2+ years automating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Control-M).
• Must have experience with clinical data.
• GCP experience confirmed.
• 3+ years healthcare/clinical data experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application development and data engineers on day-to-day tasks.
• Participate in project planning and implementation.
• Coordinate with Data Scientists, Product Managers and business leaders to understand data needs and deliver.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting functional/non-functional requirements.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for automation and scalability.
• Build infrastructure for efficient ETL/ELT using SQL and other sources.
• Develop analytics tools using the data pipeline to derive insights on customer acquisition and operations.
• Work with Executives, Product, Data, and Design teams to address data infrastructure needs.
• Improve software development processes and practices.
• Support milestones per sprint plan and handle ad-hoc requests alongside ongoing sprints.
