Job summary

KANINI is seeking a strategic and technically strong Data Architect to define, design, and govern enterprise data architecture and integration frameworks for a remote role in the United States. You will build scalable, secure data ecosystems that enable advanced analytics, BI, and operational excellence across hybrid environments.

Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and business leaders; set standards for Data Mesh, Lakehouse, data governance, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in data engineering/architecture or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience designing enterprise data architectures, models, and integration frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of GCP data platforms and Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting for data manipulation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools from an architectural perspective.
• Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for GCP data platforms.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance across data pipelines.
• Define CI/CD, monitoring, and cost optimization standards.
• Drive adoption of Data Mesh, Lakehouse, and related patterns.
• Architect data integration across internal systems, APIs, SaaS, and cloud services.
• Define standards for batch and real-time processing (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Guide ETL/ELT design for scalable pipelines and reusability.
• Define and enforce data governance: quality, stewardship, lineage, metadata.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and business leaders.
• Mentor engineering teams on data architecture and integration design.
• Advise on data strategy and organizational decision-making.
