Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a highly experienced GCP Cloud/Data Architect to provide technical leadership for a strategic cloud and data transformation initiative. The role focuses on migrating from AWS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), decommissioning Snowflake on AWS, and building modern data lakes and data warehouses on GCP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud, data, and solution architecture roles.
• Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data architectures.
• Experience building enterprise-scale data lakes and data warehouses on GCP.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and validate the client's cloud and data architecture strategy for GCP.
• Design and implement scalable data lake and data warehouse solutions within GCP.
• Lead the migration of data platforms and analytical workloads from AWS to GCP.
• Develop strategies for decommissioning Snowflake on AWS and transitioning to a GCP-based data ecosystem.
• Architect data ingestion, integration, ETL/ELT, and analytics solutions across multiple source systems.
• Establish cloud architecture standards, governance, security controls, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define roadmap, priorities, and migration strategies.
• Identify performance, scalability, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams with limited GCP experience.
• Serve as the primary GCP subject matter expert driving the initiative from planning through execution.
