Job summary

Vinci seeks a hands-on full-stack engineer to build and operate Python/gRPC services that expose C++ engines, with UI work on customer-facing React apps. You’ll own end-to-end features from validation to orchestration, and contribute to scalable, observable systems.

The role spans frontend, backend, and native components, with a focus on production shipping, security, and customer usability. You’ll collaborate across product, QA, infra, and customer success to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend or full-stack systems.
• Strong experience with Python service development and gRPC/protobuf APIs.
• Practical PostgreSQL experience: schema design, migrations, tuning, indexing.
• Practical experience with React (TypeScript/JS) and shipping UI changes.
• Good knowledge of concurrency and multi-threaded programming across language boundaries.
• Experience in large codebases with testing, CI/CD, code reviews, documentation.
• Strong communication skills and end-to-end ownership of customer-facing features.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate Python-based microservices and gRPC APIs exposing native C++ engines.
• Implement small-to-medium UI changes in customer-facing React apps.
• Handle end-to-end application logic: validation, orchestration, retries, SDKs for customers.
• Help design and operate distributed systems: partitioning, backpressure, autoscaling, observability.
• Debug and profile across frontend, Python runtime, and native C++ hotspots.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automated tests for backend, frontend, and native components.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems; maintain runbooks.
• Collaborate with product, QA, infra, and customer success to ensure usable and secure features.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
