Job summary

Altamira.ai is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer (Node.js + React) for a long-term, outstaffing engagement with an international client. You will work remotely as part of a client team, contributing to both back-end and front-end initiatives, including RESTful API design and scalable React architectures.

The role requires hands-on Node.js experience, Laravel/PHP exposure, and proficiency in React with modern patterns.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience with Node.js in production environments.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, the event loop, and performance considerations in Node.js.
• Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Experience with SQL databases, including queries, transactions, and migrations.
• Experience with Laravel in production environments and maintaining Laravel-based services.
• Comfort with debugging legacy PHP/Laravel codebases.
• Strong React.js experience with modern patterns (hooks, context).
• Experience with state management solutions (Redux, React Query).
• Ability to design scalable component architectures and ensure UI/UX consistency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back-end services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design, implement, and evolve RESTful APIs.
• Maintain and extend existing PHP and Laravel services.
• Build and maintain complex front-end applications using React.
• Collaborate closely with the client’s team on feature development and technical decisions.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
• Work with existing and legacy systems to improve stability and maintainability.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from implementation to delivery.
• Contribute to performance, reliability, and scalability improvements across the full stack.
